Getting There & Location

Accessing the Old Fortress is straightforward and a highlight of any trip to Corfu Town. The entrance is located at the end of the famous Spianada Square.

  • By Car & Parking: Driving into the Old Town is restricted. The best and largest paid public car park is conveniently located at the base of the fortress.
  • By Bus: All local Blue Bus services terminate at San Rocco Square, a pleasant 5-10 minute walk away. The inter-resort Green Bus station (KTEL) is a 30-minute walk from the fortress entrance.
  • By Foot: If you are already in Corfu Town, this is the ideal way to arrive. The fortress is a major landmark and impossible to miss at the eastern end of the town.
