Location

Agios Petros Beach is located in the heart of Paleokastritsa on Corfu’s west coast, about 25 km from Corfu Town and the airport. Facing northwest, it enjoys stunning views of the Ionian Sea and is just a short walk from the main resort area. The drive from Corfu Town takes around 40 minutes.


Water Depth & Safety

  • The water here is clear and calm, with a gentle slope that makes it suitable for swimmers of all levels.
  • The seabed is a mix of sand and pebbles, and the surrounding rocks make it a great spot for snorkelling.
  • There are no lifeguards on duty, so it’s important to swim with care, especially if you’re venturing further out or visiting with children.

Agios Petros Beach is modestly equipped but has everything you need for a relaxing visit. A few sunbeds and umbrellas are available for hire, and there’s a waterfront café offering drinks and light meals with a view. The beach is close to other Paleokastritsa amenities, including boat rentals, cafés, and shops, as well as the Aquarium and Paleokastritsa Monastery too. Public toilets and showers are available within walking distance.


Getting There – Parking, Accessibility & Transport

  • Parking: There is a large car park situated behind the beach that costs €5 per day, very minimal free roadside parking is available.
  • Accessibility: The beach is accessible via a short walk from the main road or through the car park.
  • Transport: The A9 bus route services Paleokastritsa from Corfu Town. From the main bus stop, Agios Petros is just a few minutes on foot. Car rental is also a convenient option.

Things to Keep in Mind Before Visiting

  • Pebbly Areas: Water shoes can be helpful for navigating the rocky sections of the seabed.
  • Small Size: The beach is compact, so it can feel busy during high season — early visits are best.
  • Snorkelling Spot: Bring your gear if you enjoy exploring underwater — the rocky edges are full of marine life.
  • Nearby Attractions: The Monastery of Paleokastritsa and other nearby beaches are within walking distance, making it easy to explore the area.
