Almyros Beach is a vast, serene expanse of golden sand on Corfu’s north coast. As the quieter eastern extension of Acharavi beach, it offers a more relaxed and natural atmosphere. Known for its incredibly shallow, calm waters and stunning views towards the Albanian mountains, Almyros is the perfect escape for families with young children and anyone seeking peace and quiet. It beautifully balances unspoiled nature with just enough amenities for a comfortable day by the sea.

Almyros Beach is on the northernmost tip of Corfu, approximately 40 km from Corfu Town. It seamlessly blends into the resort of Acharavi to the west. The drive from Corfu Town takes about an hour.
It is exceptionally shallow. You can often walk out for 50 metres or more into the sea before the water reaches waist height, making it arguably the safest beach on Corfu for toddlers and non-swimmers to paddle.
Yes, the beach is semi-organised. There are sections with sunbeds and umbrellas available to rent (often in front of tavernas), but there are also long, free stretches where you can simply lay down your towel.
Almyros is the eastern, more natural, and quieter continuation of the main Acharavi beach. While they are essentially the same stretch of sand, Almyros is less developed and has a more serene, laid-back atmosphere.
