Ampelaki Beach is a quiet coastal gem tucked beside the more famous Paleokastritsa beaches — a small, pebbly cove with crystal-clear waters and a peaceful, local feel. It’s perfect for those who want to escape the crowds and enjoy a swim in calm, turquoise waters surrounded by rugged cliffs and lush greenery. Whether you’re after a tranquil sunbathing spot or a refreshing dip, Ampelaki offers a serene slice of Corfu’s natural beauty with amenities within walking distance.
Ampelaki Beach is located on Corfu’s west coast, just a short walk from the heart of Paleokastritsa. It’s about 25 km northwest of Corfu Town and the airport, with a drive time of around 35 minutes. The beach faces northwest, offering views of the open Ionian Sea and dramatic coastal rock formations.
Ampelaki Beach is lightly developed but has just enough to make your visit comfortable. A few sunbeds and umbrellas are available for hire, and there’s a nearby taverna offering traditional Greek dishes and cold drinks. There are no public toilets or showers directly on the beach, but facilities can be found in the nearby Paleokastritsa area. Boat rentals and water taxis are also available nearby for those looking to explore hidden coves.
