Canal d’Amour is located in Sidari on the north-western coast, approximately 40 km from Corfu Town (a 50-minute drive).
Unlike many of Corfu’s wilder coves, Canal d’Amour is very well-serviced due to its location in Sidari.
The legend says that any couple who swims together through the narrow channel of the canal will stay in love forever.
There are very small patches of sand, but the main area consists of smooth, flat sandstone rock formations where people lay their towels. The seabed under the water is sandy.
Yes, the water is shallow and calm, making it generally safe for children. However, the area gets very crowded, and there are drops from the cliffs, so close supervision is essential.
