Kouloura is located on the prestigious Northeast coast, roughly 30km from Corfu Town. The drive takes about 45-50 minutes along the winding coastal road.

• Parking: There is limited parking in the area. Space is tight, so arriving early is essential.
• Accessibility: The harbour is flat, but the beach is reached via a short, unpaved path under the cypress trees.

• The Horseshoe Bay: One of the most photographed natural formations in the Ionian, offering a protected, circular harbour for fishing boats.
• Agnelli Villa: Look up to see the majestic fortified villa, which adds a touch of mystery and grandeur to the bay.
• Crystal Emerald Water: The seabed is a mix of rock and pebble, creating some of the clearest, most vibrant green water on the island.
• The Viewpoint: The pull-in on the main road above Kouloura offers the iconic bird’s-eye view of the harbour.

Kouloura is purposely underdeveloped to maintain its charm. There is one excellent traditional fish taverna located right on the water’s edge. The beach has no sunbed rentals or water sports, so you should bring your own towel and supplies. It is a place for peace, quiet, and snorkeling rather than organized activities.

Can I walk to Kouloura from Kalami?

Yes! There is a beautiful coastal path that connects the two. It only takes about 10-15 minutes and offers great views of the Albanian coastline.

Are there facilities on the beach?

No. Unlike Kalami, Kouloura Beach is wild. There are no toilets or showers on the beach itself; these are only available for customers of the taverna.

Is it good for snorkeling?

Excellent. Because of the rocks at either end of the bay, there is plenty of marine life to see in the crystal-clear water.
