In-Depth Guide & Details

Getting There & Location

Loggas Beach is located on the island’s northwestern edge, near the village of Peroulades, about 40 km from Corfu Town and the airport. The drive from Corfu Town takes around 1 hour.

  • By Car & Parking: There is a parking area near the top of the cliffs, close to the café. It can fill up quickly in the evening, especially around sunset.
  • Accessibility: Access to the beach is via a steep staircase carved into the cliffside. It’s not suitable for those with mobility issues.
  • Transport: The A8 bus route runs from Corfu Town to the nearby village of Peroulades but there is no direct public transport to the beach. Car rental or private transfer is the best option.

Beach & Water Characteristics
  • The sea here is shallow near the shore but can deepen quickly in some areas.
  • The beach is relatively narrow, especially at high tide, and the waves can be a bit stronger than on more sheltered beaches.
  • There are no lifeguards, so it’s important to swim with care.
  • The water is clear and refreshing, but the beach’s main draw is more about the view than the swim, specifically at sunset.
Amenities & Safety

Loggas Beach is lightly developed, with a few key comforts.

  • Cafe-Bar: A staircase leads down from the cliff to the beach, and at the top, you’ll find a café-bar with a glass-floored terrace that offers jaw-dropping views over the sea.
  • Sunbeds & Umbrellas: There are no sunbeds or umbrellas available directly on the beach.
  • Facilities: There are no changing rooms or showers.
  • Safety: No lifeguards are present, so swim with caution. Be aware of potential falling rocks if sitting directly under the cliff face.
Is it Worth Visiting?

Important Things to Know…

  • Limited Beach Space: The beach can almost disappear at high tide, so check tide times if you plan to stay a while.
  • Cliffside Access: The stairs are steep and can be slippery – wear sturdy footwear.
  • No Lifeguards: Swim cautiously, especially if the sea is rough.
  • Falling Rocks: Be aware of falling rocks if sitting directly under the cliff.
  • Sunset Crowds: The viewpoint above the beach gets busy in the evening – arrive early for the best spot.
