Paramonas is a wonderfully tranquil beach on the west coast, offering a peaceful escape from Corfu’s more crowded spots. It’s a long, quiet stretch of sand and fine pebbles, lapped by crystal-clear Ionian waters. The beach is known for its unspoiled, natural feel and the two excellent traditional tavernas perched at its edge, which are as much a reason to visit as the beach itself. It’s the perfect destination for a quiet swim followed by a delicious, leisurely meal with a sunset view.
Paramonas is located on the central west coast, south of the more famous Agios Gordios beach. It is accessed via a winding road down from the inland village of Ano Pavliana. It’s approximately 25 km from Corfu Town, and the drive takes around 40 minutes. Its slightly hidden location helps preserve its serene atmosphere.
Amenities are minimal and centred around the beach’s two fantastic tavernas. These establishments provide the only public facilities, including toilets for customers. They also offer a small number of sunbeds and umbrellas for hire on the beach directly in front of them. Otherwise, the beach is completely natural and unspoiled.
