The Venetian Carnival in Corfu is a three-week-long celebration filled with parades, music, and centuries-old traditions. It is a spectacle of joy and satire you won’t find anywhere else in Greece.

To help you plan your visit, we have compiled the expected schedule of events below. Know exactly what’s on, where, and when!

Daily Schedule of Events

Sunday, 8th February 2026

12:00 – The Town Crier officially announces the start of Carnival, accompanied by horsemen and philharmonic bands, parading through the 📍 Historic Town Centre.

12:00 – A festive welcome at 📍 Annunziata Square with Venetian characters from the Lyceum Club of Greek Women.

Thursday, 12th February 2026 (Tsiknopempti)

19:00 – “Let’s Grill Together!” A traditional Tsiknopempti barbecue event with live music takes over 📍 Lemonia Square.

Friday, 13th February 2026

18:30 – Choral evening at 📍 Annunziata Square with carnival songs performed by the Lyceum Club of Greek Women.

19:30 – The Satirical Carnival Group presents “The Wine Court” at the 📍 Historic Town Hall, featuring the Giannades Choir.

Saturday, 14th February 2026

14:00 – The famous “Treasure Hunt” organised by the Corfiot Masquerade group begins at 📍 Kofineta.

18:45 – Opera Gala Night featuring beloved arias and Italian canzonettas at the 📍 Historic Town Hall.

Sunday, 15th February 2026

11:30 – The grand “Peratzada” parade by the Lyceum Club of Greek Women, showcasing stunning period costumes through the 📍 Historic Centre.

11:45 – Traditional “Gaitanaki” (maypole dance) at 📍 Annunziata Square.

15:00 – The first of the two Grand Carnival Parades. Floats and performers start from 📍 Mitropolitou Methodiou Street and finish at 📍 Kofineta.

Thursday, 19th February 2026

19:30 – The “Petegoletsa” takes place at 📍 Plakada Agiou Spyridona. This is the must-see traditional Corfiot satirical street theatre, with gossip shouted from balcony to balcony.

Saturday, 21st February 2026

15:30 – Children’s Carnival Party at the 📍 Scout Hall of Corfu.

20:00 – Carnival melodies and sounds performed by the renowned San Giacomo Choir at 📍 Plakada Agiou Spyridona.

Sunday, 22nd February 2026 (Grand Finale)

11:30 – Final “Peratzada” and period dances throughout the city by the Lyceum Club of Greek Women, accompanied by drummers.

14:30 – The Final Grand Carnival Parade (“Sior Karnavalos”). The main event of the festival starts at 📍 Mitropolitou Methodiou Street and concludes at 📍 Kofineta. Expect huge crowds!

18:00 – “Dancing at Kofineta”: A huge street party with a live band to celebrate the end of the parade.

19:00 – The procession for King Carnival begins, including the reading of his satirical will, culminating in the ceremonial Burning of the Carnival King at sea, followed by fireworks.

20:00 – Final carnival celebration with a live band at the 📍 Historic Town Hall Square.
