Liapades is situated in the Ropa Valley region on the northwest coast. It is often overshadowed by its neighbour, Paleokastritsa, but offers a far more traditional experience.

• The Hill: Be aware that the village is about 1km away from the beach. It is a steep walk, so those with mobility issues should ensure their accommodation is located in the specific area (village or beach) they prefer.
• Parking: There is a small car park at Gefyra beach and some parking available in the village square, though the village streets are extremely narrow.

• Gefyra Beach: The main beach of the resort, known for its dramatic mountain backdrop and crystal-clear water.
• Hidden Beaches: Liapades is the gateway to some of Corfu’s most beautiful “boat-only” beaches, including Rovinia, Limni, and Iliodoros.
• The Village Square: A hub of authentic local life. Sitting in the square with an ouzo or coffee is a must-do experience.
• Hiking: The area is famous for its trails, including sections of the Corfu Trail that lead through ancient olive groves to spectacular viewpoints.

Liapades offers an excellent choice of dining. In the old village, you will find some of the most authentic tavernas on the island. Down by the beach, there are more tourist-focused cafes and bars. There are several mini-markets, a pharmacy nearby, and boat rental stations at the main beach. Don’t expect big supermarkets or high-street shops; the charm here is the local scale.
