On June 12th, the picturesque village of Pelekas honors Agios Onoufrios with a traditional festival. Pelekas is already world-famous for its “Kaiser’s Throne” lookout and stunning sunsets, but this festival offers a reason to stay long after the sun goes down. Held at the chapel of Agios Onoufrios, the celebration features live orchestras (often including the famous “Kids from Garouna”) and provides a more intimate, local experience than the village’s busy daytime tourist hours.
