On July 7th, the village of Chrysiida, located near the famous Achilleion Palace and Perama, hosts its annual festival in honor of St. Kyriaki. This “Panigiri” is a quintessential central Corfu experience, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all.

Chrysiida is known for its lush, green surroundings, which provide a beautiful backdrop for an evening of Corfiot culture. The festival centers around the village church before moving to the open square where local orchestras play traditional folk songs. Visitors can enjoy freshly grilled souvlaki, local wine, and watch (or participate in) the high-energy “Syrtos” dances. It is a fantastic opportunity to see the “local-first” side of Corfu just a few kilometers from the capital.
