The Kanoni Ascension Festival is one of the most iconic dates in the Corfiot calendar. Held on May 29th (Ascension Day), this “Panigiri” takes place at the gateway to some of the island’s most famous landmarks.

Located just a few minutes from Corfu Town, Kanoni offers a unique festival setting near to the Vlacherna Monastery and Mouse Island. The celebration centers around the Church of Analipsi and features everything that makes a Greek festival legendary: the smell of roasting lamb, stalls selling traditional “Mantolato” (nougat), and local Philharmonic bands that bring the streets to life.
