Vassilika, located in the lush northern interior, hosts a deeply traditional festival on August 6th. This is a “village-first” celebration that remains largely untouched by mainstream tourism, making it a favorite recommendation for our Discover Corfu community.

The festival focuses on the core elements of the Panigiri: faith, food, and folk music. You will see generations of families joining hands in the Syrtos dance, led by local clarinet and violin players. If you are staying in Acharavi or Sidari and want a short drive to experience the “real” Corfu, Vassilika offers a warm and honest Greek welcome.
